hey guys , thanks for looking at my thread.

well i wanted to make a layout for selling stuff on ebay and the only thing i had to work with was dreamweaver (unfortunately , lol i hate dreamweaver you either gotta be a proffesional or you cant do anything)

Well , after alot of fidgeting with the images i finally got them to the spot i wanted so when i previewed in browser they wernt in some stupid place. (later finding out it all depends on the screen size)

i took the code and shoved it in Ebays turbo lister and all the images were misplaced after another painstaking 1 hour of fidgeting with the images i got them to a spot were they should have been until i pressed preview on ebay and then once again they were misplaced.

is their any way i can stop my images from moving around if some one has a bigger or smaller screen ? like setting some sort of width and height for the HTML site thing so its always a specific width and the pictures dont move around puttign them out of place.

let me know if you need the codes mean while heres some print screens of what i mean.

First pic is turbo lister preview (maximised) http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/robinhood123/prnt1.jpg

2nd is designer view dreamweaver (notice i have to put the pics in screwed up positions for them to go were i want them to)

3rd is the file saved as a html and opened. (notice that it looks different then the turbo lister)

also a last question is it suppose to be like that in dreamweaver ? you put a pic somewhere in designer mode open the html and its not really were its suppose to be on the screen ? i had the same problem ages ago when i was trying to use it.

I read the how to center content thing. i put the code for the liquid method in here is the uploaded site http://www.freewebs.com/digibudget/index.htm

if you drag the width to smaller and larger the writing moves but pictures stay the same.

check out the source and see if ive done anything that might be causin this :x

Are you embedding the CSS or is that eBay? All your images have a CSS for absolute position so they will not move with the text and they are floating so they are not in the actual table. Being in your table will keep them with the text.

try the attached code

Thanks alot for replying well and truely appreciated , i uploaded the code on the freewebs http://www.freewebs.com/digibudget/index.htm.

the CSS stuff might have been what i unknowingly shoved into the code from one of the how to's on the site. to be totaly honest i dont even know any css or totaly grasp the whole concept of it.

[another question , on dreamweaver with pictures , i have to put the pictures in a differnt position for them to appear where i want them to on a browser preview. is this suppose to be the case or am i using the wrong method.

I go to insert pic then ad a DV label (i think its called) and place the image in it so i can move it freely.]

hey , thanks for spending your time trying to help me im sure its all very basic questions that i shouldeve learnt.
