I am just starting out into web design, I have done some work in the past but never really got my hands dirty before :)

I am currently reading Dreamweaver CS3 Bible and it seems to be pretty informative so far :) Any other book suggestions would be greatly appreciated if you think there is something better.

My question is I know going tableless is the best way to code these days, everything I have done in the past has used tables so I am wondering if I should go through the entire process of learning how to work with tables correctly or just jump into doing tableless from the beginning?

Thank you for any advice :)

You really need to learn what both are for. Tables are only meant o display data. DIV's should be used for everything else. The "td tag" stands for Tubular Data and thats when you use tables. CSS is so important!!!! Learn CSS properly and you will not be sorry.
