my freelance graphic design work is growing into a bit of a small business and i need to start creating some official documents to offer to my clients to make things a bit more legit. would any of you mind sharing some of yours, some you've seen online, or any advice concerning how and what i need to get started doing such a thing? i'm thinking along the lines of work contract, price list, invoice, receipt, bill... anything i'm missing? i'd to keep things as clean and simple as possible, but i want to protect my myself and keep things professional.

what you need is a brand. This is very important and you need to get this right

the documents you use with this logo / brand doesnt really matter

marketing that brand is more important

If you don't have contracts now, get them. You will eventually burn yourself, and you should have one for every agreement for your sake, the client sake and the projects sake.

Make sure you register your business

ask for 50% up front and make you retain copyright over the work until the last payment has been done.
