Hi again folks - quick question. What's the best way to be able to upload images to a browser? Is there a way in Dreamweaver to be able to upload images to browsers or is there a 3rd party programme that needs to be used. Are there any server issues or things I should be aware of. This is a new area for me so any info will be appreciated.

Cheers
TS

When you say 'upload to browser', what do you mean?

Hi Domedia,

In simple terms - when you have to upload something from your computer to a site.. - bit like the bottom of this form.

Are you looking to attach files from a form to send in email? (that is what the link you posted does)
-or are you looking for website visitors to add images to a page in your website? I think this is what you want, but you are not describing this very easy..

If not can you just describe the practical functionality you want, as in 'visitor goes to website, fills out a form, server generates email with all form contents to my email address'.

Hi Domedia,
Apologies for the mix up!

Simply put - I want to know:

Visitor goes onto website, fills out a web form and needs to attach a picture to form and then send. (server generates email with all form contents to my email address).

this is done using a server side language like PHP

You need to have a good grasp of this before trying to do this

options

A) get someone to write it for you so you can just paste it in.

B) learn PHP and move onto it as your learning.

your choice really

Or using a 3rd party extension like this one (just an example, I've never used it):
