I sound like my grandad.......

"in my day you were lucky if you could align a table properly never mind this modern CSS malarkey... The kids these days dont know their born... i remember working 8 hours on a mac (the ones with 2 lines through the screen) using drumbeat and dreamweaver 2!.... Ahh those were the days!"

www.xconspiracy.piczo.com has a white background (at least for me on win xp in firefox and safari) if there's a background colour then either use the colorzilla extension for firefox, another colour dropper tool or capture the web page in question, fire up your image app and sample the colour from there

"Web 2.0 Backgrounds Are Striped Thick And Thin They Look Cool And Modern Not Many Sites Have Them On." so this is what makes them 'web 2.0' ;) are you just limited to thick and thin? what about thin and thick? or is that still web 1.0 ? :)

are the stripes created on the fly which is why they are called web 2.0 backgrounds or is this just another name for a stripey bg

Also a bit surprised the example is using frames.

Along with the web2.0 user-generated/community/ajaxy/app thingy came along a certain 'style' of design, I have no idea why.. maybe all this new technology and approach needed a separate style in manys eyes. The stripe generator seems to be exactly what he's looking for.
