This is so basic . . . . . . BUT i dont know how to and i dont even know how to ask . . . .
My knowledge on this is limited and a basic downdrop menu is difficult for me to figure out.
I have a code, that i got from dynamicdrive.com, they say copy and paste into the <head> of the page. I did.
1. link where i got the code from http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/dropmenuindex.htm
Now i have to set up my links . . . . here is where i'm stucked.
2. where do i do that? inside the code?
3. how am i to see it ?
4. My editing is going to be in the code? not in the wyswug (design view) in DW? is the one i can work with. The code one, i go and take a look and can repair little errors but not much.

Thank you for any advise for this novice/basic/DW skilled person.

just use spry in dreamweaver or fireworks that will be the easiest way.

yes you have to delve into the world of code. where yo copied the code tells you to customise menuarray.

thanks edbr, is it possible that you take part of the code and just write in red, an example on where and how i need to start . . . so i can begin understanding where to start . . . .?
thanks you for your assitance

these are your in the demo code menu items

//Contents for menu 1
var menu1=new Array()
menu1[0]='<a href="http://www.javascriptkit.com">JavaScript Kit</a>'
menu1[1]='<a href="http://www.freewarejava.com">Freewarejava.com</a>'
menu1[2]='<a href="http://codingforums.com">Coding Forums</a>'
menu1[3]='<a href="http://www.cssdrive.com">CSS Drive</a>'

//Contents for menu 2, and so on
var menu2=new Array()
menu2[0]='<a href="http://cnn.com">CNN</a>'
menu2[1]='<a href="http://msnbc.com">MSNBC</a>'
menu2[2]='<a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk">BBC News</a>'
to be honest this is probably going to be pretty confusing script and you would be so much better using css drop down scripts. (in my opinion). they will be simpler and you are more likely to learn from it being simpler.
