Hello

Not sure if this is the right place the thread. Basically i have created a page for a new website, its a concept design at the moment so the layout is not fixed.
I have a basic HTML page with some Java linked in (not my coding borrowed it from a tutorial). I have then also added a Google Map to the page. Since doing this the page takes and age to download and i was wondering is there anyway to still keep the Google Map but get this to load quicker.

If anyone can advise a quick solution i would appreciate it.

the speed was acceptable for me at 10:13am UK

not only has your page to load but also has to go to google and get the dynamic map so your issue is really how busy is the google map server is throughout the day.

to speed this up you could hard code the directions and use a different map image and display it using traditional methods <img>
you could use 3 maps at different magnifications which you could get jiggy with some javascript creating a rudimentary zoom in tool
