View Full Version : another centering question...

i've been working with css a bit more and i'm starting to get the hang of it thanks to some advice i recieved on here last week. i'm working on a very image heavy site for my church. i put my images into ap divs and then put a relative positioned container div around all of them. here's the link (http://peopleneedgod.com/peopleneedgod.com/pursue_god.html). everything is lined up alright, but is there a way to keep everything centered as the browser window is resized like the rest of my pages (homepage (http://peopleneedgod.com/)). all of those are in centered tables still b/c that's all i knew when i started the site, but tables weren't very consistent in their layout from browser to browser.

if ap divs are positioned in relation to the parent div, could i still some how apply a css style to the container div that would let it adjust to the browser window and still keep all my images lined up in ap divs? if not, would i be possible to put all of those divs into a table and center the table? these are all things i've tried but i've had no luck.

in a nutshell, can i have my cake and eat it too.

you have this for your container division
##container {
position: relative;
background: center center;
top: auto;
right: auto;
you can apply a width to this either a fixed pixel size or percentage as you have with your other divisions ie
margin-left: 10px;
margin-left: 10%;
