View Full Version : click BACK or NEXT to view pictures?

I have a space on a page for a 640x480 image, I also have 7 more images the same size and would like users who view them to click either my NEXT or BACK links so they can browse the 7 pics at their speed.

I had thought of a slideshow, but Im not that keen on them.

So how can I swap an image when a user clicks my buttons and not the rest of the page?

This must be very easy.

Regards Simon

I had thought of a slideshow, but Im not that keen on them. If you don't want to use a slideshow (which is exactly what you first described you wanted), how else would you do it? Dynamic Drive has a nice list of Slideshows: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/index.html

This must be very easy. we'll see

Thanks domedia, there are some great scripts there.

I managed to get one working:

wow! I thought I knew those slideshows, but this is a new one. Beats the old ones for sure.

You could create 'Next' and 'Back' images, then use a swapImage behavior to swap the larger image. Use an onClick.
