Heyhey. What is the best way to make a printable version of a webpage? I want it so when someone prints an article or something, that only the text of the article prints.

What is the best way to do this?

I don't know if this is the best way but you could create a seperate page with just the text and on the web page have a link which says something like "Print this Page". That link then goes to the seperate page.

See http://www.foodinaminute.co.nz/Recipes/recipe_default.aspx?recipeid=602
as an example. Just to the right of the picture of the meal you'll see the third link down says "Print this recipe". If you click on that link it takes you to a seperate page with the relevant info on.

best way is to create a print style sheet and isolate the elements you want to print

like dave said, print stylesheet is a great solution. Keep your document and give the printer specific instructions in a print stylesheet.
