All links have borders to let users know they are links. Images get the border around it and text links gets an underline. The quick way to remove borders from images that are links, is a CSS rule that will work sitewide:
a img {border: 0;}

thank you very much for the reply ..
regarding my issue , at this point all what i did is made my site in photo shop then sliced it and put it together using dream weaver tables...iam not very good at coding but iam trying to get it right....can you please explain to me how can i define a CSS for my site so i can add that rule...i hope iam not bothering you but i would like to ask you something as i have read your posts and you seem like a professional designer /coder..now with a site like mine where its all based on graphics is there another way to build such thing without slicing my main design as it seems impossible to achieve such effects in dream weaver ?

A quicker way would be to click on the image, and in the properties panel, set border to '0'.

As far as general work in DW, experience is the only way that will get you anywhere. Start reading tutorials on things you like to add and you'll start to learn as you go.
