At the bottom of the page are some references.

Basically you set up a mailing list sign-up form on your web site.
(this requires PHP/ASP/.NET/or other server side language)

Once you are ready to send an email promotion to your subscribers, you can use your mailling list manager to create/send the emails.

Depending on your server technology, do a search on "mailing list managers" or "newsletter scripts".
You will find numerous ones available both commercial and freeware.

Find a mailing list manager/newsletter script that includes a captcha utility and a double opt-in option.

Captcha so you don't get spammers.
Double opt-in so that whoever is signing up is using a confirmed email address and that someone is not signing up other people without there knowledge.

My intention is to send emails promotion just to friends and people i know. What i need to know is how to put an image with text in the body of my email . .. . .. that people can open the email and read and see an image with my promotion, for example.
Understand what i want to learn? How to put up an image and design a text to go in the body of an email.
Thanks again for your assistance, and look forward to hear more from u

1. The image must be located on a web server somewhere.
2. Put in a line of code in your email to reference the image
eg <image src="http://www.mysite.com/pictures/mypicture.jpg>
<a href="http://www.mysite.com/promotions.html><image src="http://www.mysite.com/pictures/mypicture.jpg"></a>

3. Text, just write it up in your email.

Some email clients, such as Thunderbird, can do this for you with automatically.

images can be added as attatchments in the mail

True, you can embed images directly in your email, but it's not usually a recommended method. If you put your images on your server, your email won't be blocked because of the embedded images and the email can be viewed and sent without having to download any images.

This is less of a problem now if using jpeg although i dont know why. Hotmail will download but not the image but ask if you want it.
I find a small percentage of mails are blocked
My intention is to send emails promotion just to friends and people i know
then I dont think that should be a problem.
