How complx would it be to fade my background from my main contet instead of just having the same colour?

your probably right anyway, the trouble with doing your own site, is that its hard to knwo when to stop.

I do try and look at the popular site and take note, ebay etc.

This site too, clean, easy to read and navigate. Mine looks dull at the moment, but once I get some vivid pics of my headboards, that will add quite a bit, thats the idea really for the headboards to stand out.

It not an error I think. I think it's actually on the page on the server, but it's not getting parsed.
