I am working on a project and I need to store data and call data to be displayed on the page. For now I am using Apache web server on my PowerBook, so I drag my index.html and other files into the "Sites" folder in OS X. Can someone tell me how to set up MySQL so I can create a database and start storing data? I downloaded a program called "Cocoa MySQL manager" but I can't connect to anything. It asks for a host, user name, and password. When I work on my site, I go to http://192.168.1.3/~MikeZ/ to view it. This displays whatever is in the "Sites" folder. Can someone set me straight about how to do this? I don't even know what to search for.
