What does the error tell you?
Have you tried new document then insert table just to be sure it really is'nt inserting?
You could send us the code when you see the error. Have you done the update if your using DW8?

Are you using IE6/7?

I know a lot of questions but we need ifomation to help you.

:)

Going for my tea but..

Try going to the menu which appears under -->file -->edit etc just look at my image. Here you can click table instead of insert table:

4th icon along from the left under INSERT.

Right,

I am a member at Adobe so I am going to post about the error. Unless david our Moderator knows the answer it could be tomorrow before I get any feedback from Adobe.

Meantime take a break I will come back with something for you by tomorrow.

after you deleted table.htm, did you try to reinstall dw on top of your current installation, so the file could be created again?

Where did he go to?

I thought it may be quicker to send a pm so he could tell me what version he was using but I see still no answer, to your question either so this is what Adobe help says.

So if anyone has been to Adobe they will know Nadia, and Murray. You will see these two people anywhere you see Dreamweaver, be it forums, groups or whatever. There are alsoo a ton of advisors lol but Nadia and Murray usually will answer somewhere in most messages.

Murray says:

Rule 1 - never, ever delete files that are part of the application's
structural path.
Rule 2 - if you are using DMX6, update to DMX6.1 at your earliest
convenience
Rule 3 - don't ever delete files unless you know what they are doing
Rule 4 - don't delete applications files unless YOU know what you are doing!

> The member is on Vista with ie7. I believe the exception is an annoying IE
> jinx.

I don't.

The 'I don't' is because of the exception. I thought it may be an IE thing but as you see he does'nt think so and offered the advice prior to the I don't.

He also offered this link:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19105#dat (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19105#dat)

But of course I can return to Adobe should we get the version from the member here.

From my newsgroup members:

Dreamweaver 8 runs fine for the majority of users running Windows Vista.
The next version of Dreamweaver, expected to be released in Spring
2007, will be certified to run on Vista.

User that experience Dreamweaver 8 crashes on some Vista systems
while browsing for files can look at http://www.adobe.com/go/kb400788 (http://www.adobe.com/go/kb400788)
