Hello all.

Lets say I wanted to input a vast amount of data into a MySQL database, having a form with the input values and textboxes with a 'Next' button would be a bad idea.

I'm looking for something that looks like Access or Excel for entering data, they have a sheet and can input as much (or little) data into the database as they wish before hitting the submit button.

Could someone guide me to doing this, also telling me if it's possible?

if yes i will move this post to the server side scripting forum

Well, I guess it'll be a PHP question once I know what form elements to use :P. This is also a Javascript question as well I guess if that's what I'd need to use? In actual fact, I don't know what it is, I was hoping you could tell me.

ok lets leave this thread as it is for now

so are you asking for something like dynamic text fields so when you click an Add button a new row appears allowing the next row of data

Yep, that's exactly what I'm after, or even, so there's always an empty row after the current one. That way the user can enter in data much like a Spreadsheet, something like that would be great
