I am new to DW and CSS and I have started to follow a tutorial at http://www.digitalfamily.com/dreamweaver/css-two-columns.html but the instructions do not seem to translate to dreamweaver, am I missing something!

My problems start when I add the div container and the other tags which are: Top, Nav, Story, Sidebar, Footer. they do not flow properly and I cannot get the positions right.

The Div Tags also do not line up as in the tutorial.

Could someone look at the short tutorial and tell me where I am going wrong.

Below is the code which I have generated so far:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<title>Wolves</title>
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body,td,th {
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: small;
}
body {
margin-left: 0px;
margin-top: 0px;
margin-right: 0px;
margin-bottom: 0px;
}
-->
</style>
<link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
</head>

<body>
<div id="container">
<img src="wolf-header.jpg" /> <div id="nav">
<div id="story">
<div id="footer">
<div id="sidebar">Content for id "container" Goes Here</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>

Many Thanks
Tom

You're closing one </div> too many.
Layout would be all in your styles.css. Can you post that?
