Hi guys,

I have a site that I'm building in Dreamweaver. Now for some reason FF2 and safari can see all my pages, BUT IE can only see some of them?

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I'm using a Mac with Dreamweaver 8

If anyone has IE and knows of this problem could you check the homepage: http://www.nextgg.com (http://www.nextgg.com/) works fine in IE

But now check the clans page: http://www.nextgg.com/index-2.html (http://www.nextgg.com/index-2.html)

There is nothing there except my flash menu in IE??? no text, images, nothing.

now view using FF or Safarim, or anything else - see it's all there!

I have not changed anything in the way I have been using DW, so really stumpped.

Cheers for your time.

it does look like a very weird problem

i can see that site ok in IE6, but not IE7 on pc

the code is there, but its not being displayed.

my only suggestion is to start at the beginning and try and figure out when it breaks.

I can see the site fine as well in IE7/PC.

But there are some serious structure problems in your code. Multiple closing Head tags, no doctype etc. Validate your document and get rid of the errors and you won't experience this again.

yes I agree, I have check through and found that my code is sloppy and all over the shop compared to other sites. As a noob, it's great that you guys are onto this stuff :)

can I ask how do I know what doc type to place at the top of the page and how do I validate my page?

cheers mate, as a designer I know what I want my flash and layout to look like (easy), but I'm new to DW and this is my first ever attempt at even making a website! (explains the code)

Any will do actually. The point is to write HTML according to the standard you're telling the browser you are using. I can suggest this one, which is a flexible and forgiving doctype (or so I've heard)
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"

Doesn't DW has a setting where you choose doctype?
