Hi, I am mid way through creating my form and I have added a text area (multi line) however. although it is a multl line area the actual view is only a small two line little box, How can I make this bigger?

If you select the text area in the form in design view, and then look in the property inspector, you will see on the left a box "Num Lines". Enter the number of lines high you want the text box to be. If someone enters more than 15 line, a scroller will appear allowing them to continue.

That should be if someone enters more lines that you indicated in the "Num Lines" box it will introduce a scroller bar. (15 was an example) If you put 12 lines, the scroll bar appears when the next line 13th is entered.

Thats brill, Thought I had tried that already..Whilst we are here I will ask one last thing....

Is there a way i can make the text area a different colour to highlight it a little more???

You would need to create a CSS style with the background color you desire and apply the style to the text area tag. If you assign the style to the form tag, all of you input areas would have the background color.

an inline stlye could do it
