If you are ok with only html enabled email clients, you could include a unique transparent gif in each one. Then you could access your server log (or script) to see how many times it's been called.

Not sure if this is of use.
In my business I use mailinfo, free download only working with outlook, to check if e mails I have sent have been opened. it can be switched on or off so can be used for selective mail. it is transparent and informs the person that I will be informed so some people might not like it.

good side is no one tells me they didnt receive my invoice anymore!!

Hi there,

Theres no code that fires the email, the email opens outlook straightaway, the only code there is is on the contact form.

what you could do then is assign a BCC to the email call

where you have...

mailto:somename@domain.com?bcc=yourname@domain.com

you could use a php mail script which you could fire when you click the link.

This would also send off a mail receipt to your self

hhmm this tells me how to create a form, may i can attach the code when the user clicks the link, like on press or something, possibly javascript aswell that shoots off the php script to my email telling me its been pressed.
