Hi,

I need to design and develop intranet for a firm. the requirement is to host it internally at one location and it will be connected to different locations across different cities. How shall i go about it? Shall i make a regular 'website' intranet? What are the different ways (or the best option) all locations can be linked and how will it affect my website development?

I also need to update myself to making dynamic websites. What i know is you need to know ASP/PHP and incorporate it in dreamweaver. Pls tell me what are the steps and what all shall i learn(PHP/ASP, SQL, Javascript etc)? And how everything is interlinked? Can i've all the software requirements loaded on single PC? Can u suggets any good book?

Thanks a ton...
Nik

Intranet and Internet websites are basically the same except the Intranet site is located within a local area network.
It really is up to you what Server Side language you wnat to use but i think you would find the majority (99%) use PHP here. You can follow DavidJ's tutorials to get up to speed, they are here ...
