Hey guys iam new to dreamweaver so iam looking for some help.

Currently iam using dream weaver to edit a clan template for my counter-strike source clan and iam having a few problems with it. When I was over my friends house the other day we just dragged the file and dropped it in dreamweaver and it allowed us to edit the text from the template. Now I installed dreamweaver on my laptop and when i try to open the file its not allowing me to edit it with the template.

I know that in the top left corner there is
1. Code
2. Split
3. Design

I keep clicking design but it is still not showing the template.

Could anyone help me fix this problem its been to days now :confused::confused:

it sounds like its a problem with the actual file. Where did u get this template from? And can u get the original again?

Always helps if u can post code or post a link to where u got the template from.

I play cs source too, what maps do u play the most. My fav's are: office, assualt, breakfloor(s) and gun games.

well i got the template off www.clantemplates.com. Here is the link it is the second from the left: http://www.clantemplates.com/free_templates/1/21

I have no clue if its the files because i tryed another template and i got the same result. This is what it looks like in my WINRAR = http://img506.imageshack.us/img506/7468/winrarla0.png

Everytime I click any of the html files it comes out to look like this http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/7605/featuresrw8.png
^^^^^even tho its on design.

I Just got a counter-strike source server so Iam trying to get the website done as fast as i can. Iv been working on this dreamweaver thing right now for about a day and a half and iam stressing out and loosing hope :( So if you guys could help me out a bit id really appreciate it.

do you know how to define a site in Dreamweaver so you can see all your files in the files panel

If not you need to cover the basics of the helpfiles/manual before asking for help :)
There's certain aspects of Dreamweaver that you have to know before you can use it .

does it really matter if you define a site or not because shouldn't the template show up when you click design so you can edit it from there?

yes it does matter, please learn the basics of DW first 8) The help files are very useful and should get you going in no time, provided you take the time to study.
