hello, been a long time since i started up a new website and im a bit rusty, i've forgotten how to make the home page the root file when typing in the address, instead its going to the server file and is listing the other websites i have on that server, the website is www.recycleyourjeans.com and i can only get to the home page when i click on the recycleyourjeans.com folder. could someone please direct me as to how i go about correcting this.

many thanks.

you just need to have your first page saved as index.html and this file must be saved in the root folder of the site.

exactly what i thought and thats how it is already set up, but its still going to the host server directory. when i click the file recycleyourjeans.com it then takes me to the index page, but it wont go straight there, any ideas?

ok i think i understnad why it isnt working, i need to make the recycleyourjeans folder the root folder for that url address, otherwise its just one of 6 other files on the server. how can i do that?

i thought you could define where a root dir resides from your host control panel

Your root folder is already set up by your host. Usually 'www' or 'public_html'
