View Full Version : Coffee Cup Form Builder

As a non php/javascript coder I'm always looking for easier ways to include some more robust features to my sites. I saw this from Coffee Cup and was wondering if anyone was familiar or after looking at their site ( http://www.coffeecup.com/form-builder/ ) could give me an opinion on this. I noticed that it uses Flash, XML, and PHP. Good, bad, ?

Any thoughts appreciated.

this is nothing more than an email form creator

you need to take some time and learn some php

Fred, I have no experience with it. Why don't you try the fee trial and let us know how it works for you?

I think I'm really liking this application. I've just done a form using it and put the whole thing together in about 30 minutes. You can view it at http://douglasvalley.net/Contact%20Form/contact_page_b.html

The layout is really great, drag and drop. While I'm sure some more experienced folks could do the same thing using tabels and CSS along with some php, for $34 US this is a great timesaver and allows me to put up a form with features I don't have the skills for yet.

Suggest you all give it a try, free 14 day trial. URL is http://www.coffeecup.com/software/

Also note though, if you are "Anti-Flash" you will hate this.

i honestly dont see the point in creating a form in flash when you have form elements that do this. Those that dont want to use an activex control will have problems

its like using carbon fibre to build a house when you already have bricks

I hear you, especially about the flash/activex aspect. My next step will be to try and build the form and page just like the one in I did using Coffee Cup only using DW 8 and php. I have a loooooooooong way to go with php but am going to give it a try.

Thanks for your comments.
