Hi all,

Was position text at the bottom of page to simple navagation text commands (eg, about us, contact us etc), and when i view in firefox, the text is place a 100 or so pixels higher but IE correctly places.

Any ideas?

Yup will do - just to add I have a background image which is about 650 pixels top to bottom with text just above the 650 mark... Hmm, actually looking at the code i seem to get a div table placed when i try and allign the text to the centre. But cant seem to get rid of it... heres the code

<div align="center">test test test</div>

Stag, can you upload to a server somewhere and provide url? I'm sure this can be easily fixed, we just need to see the whole page :)

Once you give url we can fix it in no time I'm sure

No worries, I will upload onto a free server and give a shout once done...

Hi ,

Here is a site stripped down with some layers with the text at the bottom. The text now appears lower rather than higher.

Any ideas?

If you want to design a website like that with absolute positioning, you shouldn't have elements like paragraphs <p> between them. Paragraphs will have a default margin set by the browser based on the font size set for the page. If you remove the paragraphs between the div tags, you'll see that it will render more consistent across browsers.
