View Full Version : css issue on my header

Hi,

Ive just started making up a site, but ive got an issue i cant figure out.
All elements under the header div have {padding-left:100px;} this is causing the header to have a 100px margin to the right... so, 1. the BG isnt tiling into 100px of the screen & 2. the margin is forcing a horizontal scrollbar onto the browser.

Ive been thinking about this for a bit, but I cant figure out how to sort it.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ps sorry if its something really dumb !! :\

Thanks

hey, sorry, it was something really dumb !!!

I did a re-slice and changed the way I set the header up, also I had some {width:100%} rules in there that were getting the padding added on.

Sorry !!! all good now though !

Remember padding is added to the width. Padding and margin is not the same http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/css-box-model.php
