Davidj has made some great PHP video tutorials.
There's some reports about errors on the first one (part 1), can people check it out and see if they can view the first video without problems?

Appreciate it! :)

I've just watched the first four and I had no problems with the first one at all.

They were brilliant tutorials!!! Applause when it's due, Davidj has just made my life 100x easier!

i think ive made the updating data a bit confusing

Hello david

The tutorials are excellent i now finally understand the principles and the logic where before i was doing a lot of trail and error.

I am trying to figure out why my reset button does not work on Part 11 of the tutorial.

Any clues

is the button set as a reset and is it inside a form

additional note:

you could just recall the page your on using the button. This action would reset the form

Spot on! i copied the java script for the update button. Last night i was think i must use a variable/query to get it to work and i was playing with various if functions.

I must say the tutorials are really good.

ok try this method...

<input type="button" name="button" value="Refresh" onClick="document.location.href='thesamepage.php'">

where thesamepage.php would be the page your trying to refresh

sorry mate

we keep missing each others posts so they are a bit out of sync

anyhoo

I must say the tutorials are really good.

I am pleased you like them. When i first started, this is how i wanted to be taught but all the books were quite heavy reading

Adding the refresh button now works! :)

Books are really difficult to follow i have one book which i have been using and i have found out through trail and error that there are actual mistakes in the book (PHP,MYSQL,APACHE by Julie C Meloni)!

So your tutorials are ace am i just doing the login tutorials.
