The last couple of days, when I start DW it gives me a message that says: "An FTP error occurred. Cannot make connection to host. Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information."

Once I click OK and DW finishes loading I have to go to my FTP sites and add my login and password again. This problem seems kinda similar to one I've had from time to time with Outlook 2003 where it keeps prompting for my password to login to my pop email, even though the password is already there and correct.

I know to fix the prob in Outlook I have to delete a registry entry, is that what I need to do here? Or is it something totally different?

I'm still using 8.0; I never updated to 8.01; also, it's not that I can't connect, it's that Dreamweaver won't remember my username & password even though the check box next to save is checked in my ftp sites.

Updates are mandatory :)

Mandatory in the sense that when they come (the updates), it's a *really* good idea to install them. :-) If your DW is not updated, that should be your first action, before trying anything else. For years I've been helping DW users through a commercial service, and I can't tell you how many times doing the recommended update has fixed a problem.

OK, I'll try it.
