Its between the header "contact information" and the header image,

I got about a Inch gap on both IE6 PC and FF 1.5 mac.

I think I need to clear a float or something, can you see anything like that ??

jonsaul,
I dopn't know how much of the sapce you want to get rid of.
H1's have some default margin you can play with, try adding this to you H1 style:
margin-top: 0;
