Hi al again, I have just learnt dreamweaver 8 to a beginners standard and do not have the time at the moment to learn fireworks and flas, but I will get around to it.
I am looking for an alternitve graphics program that will create banners and buttons for web sites.
any ideas thanks

Photoshop is the king of the hill for sure, http://www.adobe.com/
A much more reasonable priced product is Paint Shop Pro http://www.corel.com/

The Gimp
never used it although some guys rave about it.

it costs zero, ziltch, nuth, nowt (or at least it did)

googles picasa 2 is pretty good for accessing and sorta ur photos... any one else use it

I love Picasa, but it's not an alternative here. It can't make graphics.
