i hope someone can help me..

this is my first attempt on adding sounds on a site and im getting weary of trying..

im talking about a simple sound not bg music, say like a button sound..

i put this sample site here just for the sake of experiments..

im using dreamweaver to create my site and i would like to inform everyone that i am not a pro in codes :( ..

will someone help me for the procedure on how to add this sound file
on the link (gif image) on the site?? ..that will work both on IE and firefox??

i have tried the behavior panel on dreamweaver but its not working.. maybe im doing it wrong..

please

You are best to use flash for that.

i cannot use flash :(
theres too many javascript involved for the effect when the link (the smiley) is clicked.. so it has to be a command or code in dreamweaver..

as for the swf flairs.. will going to remove that coz its kinda hindering the appearing images when the smiley is clicked..

so it has to be a code or something in dreamweaver to make the sound that will work in IE & firefox..

i hope someone can help.. give me a link or something where i can read to learn..

thank you insanity for the reply..

why do u want some crappy sound on rollover.... do you also want sparkly rainbow changing text flashing banner images.
This will do wonders for your users...

ok... sorry i was being sarcastic. Using those kind of sounds is very myspace and early ninties, when everything was animated gifs that nearly gave users seizures (think simpsons episode in japan)

Is this a site for urself or a client?

Using little wav sounds will also make ur page document heavy and clunky.

Btw - that smily face pop effect is using lightbox viewer or wahtever its called.

reply back with some insight so we can help u out buddy.

so it has to be a code or something in dreamweaver to make the sound that will work in IE & firefox.. You don't have options. Browsers don't have integrated sound players. Use Flash or drop the whole idea.
