View Full Version : Background Shadow on Table?

08-15-2006, 07:19 PM
Wonder if anyone can help?

I've seen someone using what appears to be a table (with a thin black border) and an offset shadow behind it.

I love this style and was wondering how to achieve it on my site.

Tried using a 900x900 pixel jpg but can't seem to get text in the middle.

Layers don't line up properly, so not too confident using them.

Any help would be great thanks.

Ok simple.
Make a css file and for your table create a border using an image for your drop shadow.
You can set in your border diolog in DW where you want the border to show.

Hey thanks for the info.
Only worked with basic pages up to now, but I guess now is the time to start expanding my knowledge eh?

CI - are you in NZ? Your profile show a reference to Kiwiland?

Ozi! no bloody way.. Florida.

I have wanted to ditch this dump now for some 15 years.
Clarke does not run the place the bloody maoris do and the sooner new zealanders wake up to that and stop handing them money hand over fist the sooner the country will grow. They don't give a toss about their land and such.. it is all a ploy to suck huge dollars out of the goverment and they are stupid enough to give it.
Stuff this place it has gone to the dogs and a dog is running it.

Oops, opened a can of worms there didn't I?
Well, while I basically agree, I can think of much worse places to live!
I came from the UK originally, and wild horses wouldn't drag me back there to live!

I loved theUSA . . . or the little I saw of it during a couple of working trips, and hear Florida is a great place to bring up kids!

I wish you well in your venture, and hope things work out for you in your new country!
Whats your line of work?
Did you mamge to get a green card or are you on a temp work visa?

I take it you'll continue to post (have I seen you on other forums too??)

Good luck!

I'm into Music video making . . . . may be able to use your services in the future!
