Hello,
I am attempting to create a DHTML drop-down navigation bar for the first time. I created all my layers and am starting to place the images in the layers, but it's not working. The global nav bar is over the top of the logo. It should be just below the red bar. (I've only checked in IE 6 so far.) http://aimeebucher.com/SUMC.html It looks right in the design view of DW...
Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you!

OK, I tried changing the nav bar top to 93. Here's the new code for those two layers: #logo_layer {
position:absolute;
width:780;
height:93;
z-index:3;
left: 0;
top: 0;
}
#navbar_layer {
position:absolute;
width:682;
height:40;
z-index:10;
left: 97;
top: 93;
visibility: visible;
}
But, it still looks the same on my browser. http://aimeebucher.com/SUMC.html
Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

just checked your site and the sousce is
#logo_layer {
position:absolute;
width:780;
height:93;
z-index:0;
left: 0;
top: 0;
}
#navbar_layer {
position:absolute;
width:682;
height:40;
z-index:0;
left: 97;
top: 68;
}

Thanks. I copied your code & pasted it in. It didn't fix the problem, so I took a good look at it and realized that DW did not automatically put px after the positioning numbers. I'm using IE6.0 and it has to have px there. I wrote it in by hand on all the layers and now, it's working correctly in my browser. Have to check it in other browsers now. http://aimeebucher.com/SUMC.html
Thanks for helping! I appreciate it!

Aimee,

If you are correct about what you say about users being only 15 seconds on a web site, then your own web site should have your contact information on every page, rather than just on a contact page.

Your graphics look good, though!

Interesting thought, David.
I hadn't considered that, but you're probably right about having contact info on every page...
Thanks for the compliments on my graphics. I'm not a graphic artist by any means, but I like what I've created. :)
