i have been given a website that is in .asp that a charity wants updating as the original creator has now left, etc.

i am wondering if you guys know of any sites that explain what .asp is in simple terms.

what advantages does it have if any and what makes it different to normal html files?

thanks in advance!

Hopefully an ASP user will answer this for you in more detail (advantage of ASP over other dynamic web languages like, for example, PHP), but the advantage it has over normal HTML files is that ASP is dynamic, meaning its probably connected to a database source.

Sounds like you should make a backup of the site files before you start messing around with it !!
