View Full Version : Text above image.

Hi there, again.
I am currently working in Dreamweaver 8, I know that this is probably really really simple, but I have yet to figure it out - so please help if you know.
I just want to know how you can place a chunk of text on top of an image.
I have tried using layers on top of the original image. It was fine when i previewed it with Firefox before uploading, but when i try to actually upload it to the web, it either goes real funny, like its way out of place (the layer i mean) or you cant see it at all.
How do you do it?
Thanks in advance. :--)

The easiest way is to put your image in a table and make it the background for that td.

Or any kind of tag really. This will work just fine as well:

This text is above the photo.

p#feature {
padding: 10px;
background-image: url(assets/photo.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;

Hey there.
I'm back. Thanks for the advice, opening Dreamweaver now to try it, and would come back when I have problems with following it or understanding it. LOL
Anyways, I really have no idea why I posted this in the Photoshop section of the forum.
