I am working in Dreamweaver 8

I am trying to create an email link from a hotspot.

I select the area for the hotspot,
I then click Insert,
I then click email link,
then I type in, mailto:name@address.com in the top text box,
and then I type in name@address.com in the box below it named : email.

It creates an email link but on the bottom of the page instead of on the hotspot.

Can anyone tell me how to do this so that the hotspot is an email link?

i personally would instead of clicking on the email link just add the email address to the link part of the hotspot.

I have a number of graphic pages that have the word Contact on them.

I want to make a hotspot on the word Contact and then make that hotspot go to an email address.

Can anyone help?

That's not hotspots you're making. The Hotspot iconsa are in your properties panel after you select the image. F1 (help files) give you all you need on it :)

I am selecting a graphic that the word "Contact" is on.

This opens the properties below.

I am then selecting the rectangular hotspot and drawing it around the graphic word "Contact".

When I do this on other hotspots (on the same graphic page), I go to the code and insert a web address (herf= http://www.address.com) or I click on "link" in the properties section and insert the address of another page within the site.

Now, in the case of making an email link on one of these Hotspots (Contact), I need to know what code or procedure that I need to have that Hotspot link to an email address.

Can anyone help?
