I will be doing a new site for a client that will be a complete CMS system.

So far I have narrowed it down to either Joomla or Drupal.

Any other suggestions ?

(not Mambo cause they are bye bye)

Thanks DJ.

I have looked at quite a few and installed them on my server.

Drupal, Xoops, & Joomla seem to be the easiest for the client to use.

Will probably go with Joomla though, plenty of support and modules available for everything my client wants.

Yups Mike , Joomla is the best as far as i know as i worked with all of them.
The skinning of joomla is very easy and community is fantastic.

When skinning it and testing stuff use the JSAS ( Joomla! Stand Alone Server)
http://jsas.joomlasolutions.com/
Use the dreamweaver extension for templating, it makes work damn easy!

Joomla is the successor to Mambo, and I have heard good things about it.

When using any open source software, look at the documentation available for yourself and your client before deciding what is best.
