Why Opera 8.00 Build 7401 does not obey the CSS margin formatation below ?

body{
margin: 0 10px 0 0;
background-color: #CCCFE3;
}

IE6 , Netscape and Mozilla do it , Opera disregard , the page lay out is set off at least 20 pixels away from the browser magin ;
is there a way to correc it ?

Could you give us a complete code example, or a URL?

Try setting the margins as margin-top, margin-right etc and see if that helps. Opera is a pig of a browser.

could also add the !important;
im not sure as i never test for opera
but IE 5.0 & 5.5 can be a real pain.
Good to hear about (not so recent news) microsoft has stopped all updates/want anything to do with IE 5 on a mac. yay!

Fix is simple, opera uses padding on body:

body{
margin: 0 10px 0 0;
padding: 0;
background-color: #CCCFE3;
}

Many people in the know consider Opera superior to Firefox, and blame Opera's marketing department for not making Opera free to use before FF did.
