I need some help with DHTML Drop Downs.

Used the tutorial (http://www.phptr.com/articles/article.asp?p=29835&rl=1) to
build a drop down. When I duplicated the 'code' in the tutorial, everything
worked fine. When I introduced the 'code' into my own page (following the
same procedures) ... the drop down works, BUT there is a lot of flicker.
(i.e.When the drop down menu is visible, any movement of the mouse causes
the the whole menu to flicker - not the entire screen, only the d-d menu.)

What causes flickering?

Does anyone have an suggestions?

What causes flickering? Impossible to say unless we can see it/code. It's a technical question.

Code with 'flickering' drop down is on my PC here at home, not an URL. I can send the files (will be appox 20 files - uses many gif's). Is that sufficient????

dont you have any host space

its better for me to see the site as is and then try and diagnose the problem

The attempty at 'drop-downs' is not part of th 'official' website .... and I don't know how to get a separate area on the host. I've put the basic html/gif's on a zip file ... which I'll try to attach here. I this froum won't allow that, is there an email addr I can send the zip to (the zip file is only 58K ... and contains 25 files).

The 'base' file is pg1wdpdn.html

Thats hardly the way to encourage people to help you, posting the contents of Private massage. There is a reason they are called private messages. No need to post them on here. Davidj is correct people do have lives, how is the guy supposed to solve every single problem of every member by private message. There is no reason why you cant knock up a quick 'problem.html' page add your flickering menu to that, then upload it.

rap, do not misuse the PM system to ask for private help. This is what we have the forum for.
