I'm using Dreamweaver 8. I have 4 :30 second commercials in the form of .swf files. I want to be able to control these videos (play/pause, stop, fast forward, rewind) in the browser. I don't have the .fla files. Is there a way to add skins to .swf files? I also want my .swf to load completely before it starts playing. You can view what I'm talking about here http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=16&groupid=312327&ck= . Then go to Television. Someone please help, I can't find anything on this area on google.

You need more than the FLA files, afaik.
Use the media converter that comes with Flash Pro and convert the original movie format to Flhas' video format, FLA. The media converter will actually guide you through all the steps of creating the skin and controls as well. Preloading is also done from within Flash.

I don't have the original files. I only have the .swf files. Is there a way to convert .swf files to .fla files? I tried converting .swf to .avi than .avi to .fla, but when I converted the .swf to .avi it lost the audio. Theres no way to add a skin w/o the .fla file?

No, you need the native flash files to edit.
If you had a third party do them, consider having them, do it _or_ purchase the flash files from them.

first off you can control flash (SWF) using javascript as both have hooks for each other. This means you can send the play head to a keyframe and play or stop etc but you must know what the designer has called the movie instance and elements. To get this info you need a swf decompiler. There are loads out there and some even decompile back into FLA retaining all actionscript, instances and graphics
