Hello All, I'm a newbie to Dreamweaver 8 and want to learn it. Could you all suggest a good training book that I could pick up?

There are many, many books available :)
How knowledgeable are you right now? Have you used other web development software? Do you know HTML/CSS? etc

I dont have any prior experience with other web developement programs, I know just basic html code and tags (notepad as editor  ) I'm starting a new job and want to revamp the organizations website. Any specific recomendations you have for a training book would be appreciated.

most dreamweaver books will guide you through the pitfalls

if you go to amazon read the reviews before you purchase

books wont show you everything which is why we are here.

i am impressed that you use notepad and handcode your current sites. You wont regret it. This skill has been discarded over the years.

so think of your notepad skills as your wax on, wax off excersise with Mr. Miyagi

all you have to do now is learn the crane

If it had to be just one book, I would probably do the 'missing manual'.. over 900 pages of Dreamweaver goodies.

Also consider 'dreamweaver 8 for dummies' if you have no experience with dw. Don't let the title scare you away.

Anyone else have any recommendations?
