What about using <HR>?
I use that all the time and does the trick nicely.
You can also set them to left, right and center at what ever percentage you want, like:

<hr noshade="noshade" color="blue" align="center" size="30%>
But it goes without saying you can have what ever settings there you want.

Of course, there are always borders for tables or with CSS.

You can put a border on any block element

block {border-right: 1px solid #336699;}

HR = horizontal rule
For a vertical line, please read dthmosens and my suggestion above.

sorry.. i did read yours and dthomsen8 suggestions and even tried if i can do it..

problem is.. i dont know how to do it :mrgreen:

dont even know where to start..

say when i insert a table with borders.. theres no option for say 'border-right'.. in the dialog box.. the border created is all around..

my knowledge of codes ish below sea level!! hell!! more below sea bottom i think!! so when i switch to code view and tried to copy paste
block {border-right: 1px solid #336699;}
on the page im trying to create.. i dont even know where to place it!!

ive been reading some articles but i thought maybe asking here would be much faster..
