Please check out my revised HTML/CSS Navigation and fluid right content column example.

I would particularly welcome MAC user comments.

Looks ok to me.. but the red on the bg colour is a bit harsh. Change your txt colour to a lighter colour like white or light grey.

BTW.. what is a MAC user LOL

yo uhave on error in your css here
#sideColumn {
position: absolute;
top: 89px;
font-size: 1.0em;
left: 1px;
width: 244px;
border-width 0px;

you forgot the colon in the last bit
border-width: 0px;

and a couple of html errors http://tinyurl.com/ow4yr

otherwise works fine though i'm a pc user not a mac user

The navigation buttons are almost what I want, not quite, but the background color, the bold red border and the red type in the main column are all going to be changed, and maybe the font, too.

The HTML and CSS validated a few days ago, but I did so much fiddling with it, some errors have creeped into both of them.

Thanks for checking, I will get them fixed.

I still have HTML validation errors, and I don't see why.

because where you have this
<style type=text/css>

you need this
<style type="text/css">

then it validates
