Hey again,
It's been awhile since I've poked around here, but I've got yet another how-to plea for help. I'm trying to set the permissions of a file using Dreamweaver, and I've got the extension "Set Permissions" from the macromedia list of extensions. It installed beautifully, and looked like it almost worked. Until when I tried to apply my permissions changes, I got the error that "Setting access properties are only supported on FTP sites"

My site is definitely FTP, and I've contacted my server to confirm that bit of information. Is there some step I'm missing? Or is this something that my server may not be compatible with (I'm using www.hostway.com) And is there any way to do this maybe outside of dreamweaver, and have the same effect?

Thanks SO much in advance!
E.

Use your ftp client to do that. Right click on the file and select CMOD and see the perms you want.
