#mainColumn {font-size: 1em; margin: 0px 10px 0px 210px; border-left: red 4px solid}

<div id=mainColumn>

Are CSS Id names case sensitive? Suppose, for example, that instead of "#mainColumn" above I had "#maincolumn" without the capital C. Would that mean that the style would not be applied to the <div>?

A quick test would have proven if they were or not. That's when you realize you've started your path to CSS wizardry ;)

Something to do with case is going on in CSS, or at least I think so. See my new thread.
