On my website, some of the template didn't come out well when viewed in Firefox, http://www.belyonline.org, however in IE it shows fine. Is there a way to correct this?

For a start you are using the wrong doc type.
Change this:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

all that did was make the orange lines thicker and more spaced out, it didn't correct the header problem.

Didn't post that as a fix.. more of a code correction.

In this TD here:
<td height="58" nowrap="nowrap" colspan="3" id="logo" valign="bottom">
change to:
<td bgcolor="#000000" height="58" nowrap="nowrap" colspan="3" id="logo" valign="bottom">

The reason your page changes when you change doctype, is because the doctype actually defines to which standard the page will be rendered.
