Hi, i've created a website in photoshop. i've made a slice where i want to add text.

1. Can i get rid of the pop up menu that shows up to save a picture, you know the one with four icons (save this image, print this image, etc) i dont want it to pop up, is there a way to hide it or make it go away?

No as that is a setting in IE preferances itself. You may get rid of yours but then the next IE viewer will have them.

you could asign the image a <td> background using CSS

Where should I insert that code, or when can I read about it?

Go in code view and insert it inside the head area of your code, where you other meta tags are. There's nothing to read about it. It will simply disable the image toolbar in IE.
