Hi, every time I preview any changes in my browser, I am always asked would I like to save the page first, is there a way in which DW will just save and preview the page without keep asking me.

Cheers if you have the answer for me.

i take it you do save the files before pressing F12

No, not always, as I am relatively newish to DW, I preview quite often, to check on my progress, which makes it a pain when DW asks me each time do I want to save before preview. DW 4 doesnt, it simply allows you to hit F12 and see what you have done. I was hoping there was a way/setting I could change that would allow me to hit F12 and see the results without the DW prompt every time.

Doesn't take much to go Ctrl + S before you preview. If you get into the habbit it will become second nature.

CI, it's not what she's asking for, be nice :)

becky, you need to enable this in your preferences:
If you'd prefer to use a temporary file in the browser when previewing, check the Preview Using Temporary File checkbox in the Preview in Browser Category of the Preferences dialog box. Dreamweaver will create a file each time you preview a page.
