Does anyone know of a tutorial for building web based enquiry forms?

So that a site visitor can leave an enquiry that is then sent to an e-mail address?

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,
Will make a tutorial tonight for making web based forms and delivering the form results to an email address with PHP.
Hope that will help!

First check that your hoster does not block the php mail tag for spam reasons like my stink hoster does.

"Scripting & programming
Perl/CGI/SSI Support

PHP Support"

Is that the answer? it doesnt mention anything about PHP Mail tags?

Thanks,
Greg

EDIT: Sorry I just got in contact with my host and they dont block them

Nor does my hoster have anywhere they block the mail tag, but when I used it once in a registration script I got denied and so I asked my hoster and they said they block the mail tag for spam reasons, and I said useless twits.

Thanks for the tutorial,

Got my enquiry form up and running... and working!!
Thanks a lot for the tutuorial, I had tried doing it with other tutorials before but never got it to work!

Just one thing, not a major prob... when I receive the form to my email insted of saying name, tel no, email, etc it says 'textfield3' 'textfield33' etc

Is there a way I can change that?

Thanks!!
Greg

Yes Greg,
As DJ said give your form objects names ,and they will appear in the results aswell.

Select the form objects and in the property inspector give them names.

Ive named them in the Properties panel, but still doing the same?

Sorry if this is something obvious?!
