View Full Version : Using a scroll bar!

I was wondering if it was possible to include a scroll bar within a page! Sorry if I'm not making myself clear! I have a picture on a page, in the middle, and I want to put a lot of text in the middle of it. I want this text to scroll without having a scroll bar on the far right side of the page and so that the picture itself never has to move. I know this is possible in flash but can i do it in dreamweaver?

Yep.. do this in code view:

<iframe src="your_file_name.html" width="desired_width in px" height="desired_height in px" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes" name="main"></iframe>

No need to create an extra page (an iframe).
Use overflow: auto with css.

yes, much better option. If all you're looking for is the scrollbar effect, it's overkill to create a new page only to get that effect

Only problem with the css ones is that you cannot target links to it.
